Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole-school framework that promotes positive behaviour across a school and helps schools develop save and supportive learning environments.

Schools which implement the PBL framework ensure that all students are explicitly taught the expected behaviours and establish clear and consistent boundaries. Staff take a proactive, preventative approach to ensure all students receive the appropriate level of support to help them to be successful at school. Student outcomes are monitored so identified students can receive additional support when needed, and a minority of students can access intensive support to enable them to engage successfully at school.

Fantastic four expectations are:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Safe
  • Be Proud

PBL mission statement

At Pindi Pindi State School, we strive to nature successful, we-rounded citizens of the future by explicitly teaching positive behaviour expectations that support the wellbeing, academic achievement and social competency of all students. In a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment and with community consultation, Pindi Pindi State School collaborates with stakeholders to share our PBL journey. By providing students with clear and consistent boundaries and a proactive and preventative approach to behaviour, Pindi Pindi State School endeavours to provide a culture of equity, where every student receives the appropriate level of support to help them be the best version of themselves.
