Student code of conduct
Pindi Pindi State School is committed to providing a safe, respectful, responsible and proud learning environment for every student and staff member, where students have opportunities to engage in quality learning experiences and acquire values supportive of their lifelong wellbeing.
The Student Code of Conduct is designed to facilitate high standards of behaviour so that the learning and teaching in our school can be effective and students can participate positively with our school community. All areas of Pindi Pindi State School are learning and teaching environments. We consider the Student Code of Conduct to be an opportunity for valuable social learning as well as a means of maximising the success of student learning programs.
Our Student Code of Conduct outlines our system for facilitating positive behaviours and responding to inappropriate and unacceptable behaviours. Through our school plan, shared expectations for student behaviour is explicit to everyone, assisting in the creating and maintaining of positive and productive learning and teaching environments. This plan outlines clear and consistent expectations for all community members and each of the roles in the educational process.
Our school expectation has been agreed upon and endorsed by all staff and our Pindi Pindi P&C. They are aligned with the values, principles and expected standards outline in The Department Educations Student Code of Conduct.
Year 6 leadership
Each year before taking on their leadership role, Year 6 students will sign a contract agreeing to the code of conduct. Will also states that they will maintain a high standard of behaviour, follow school expectations, wear their badge with pride, take an active part in school event, while displaying fairness and equity, and leading by example.
